Being an Indian child is not easy,at least for me.Especially when you grow up in a multiracial community where your white friend's dad is sooo much cooler,sporting and say things like "Yes son,you can have a girlfriend.Use condom" while my parents go "What?!Girlfriend?!!You are a shame to our family!!Look what you've done!We are all going to die & be reincarnated as cockroaches !".Yup,thats my family there.Okay,here are some exaggerated,sad but true signs that you're born into an Indian Family.Have fun :)
1.When You Are Sick Everyone In Your Family Starts To Lecture You Like A Doctor
"You dont need any antibiotics,just eat some papaya with cashew nut milk"2.You have a symbiotic relationship with the Noise Of The Pressure Cooker Going Off When Your Mom Is Making Dhal.
"Pressure Cookers.Indian wife's bestfriend"3.You Know When Your Parents Use The Phrase "We'll See Or Ill Think About It" It Means "NO"
4.When this conversation takes place.You "mom I need new clothes". Mom "What about the clothes I bought in 2006? I bought large for a reason"
"Oh yea,the underwear mum bought 4 years ago still fits me"5.When Your Parents Dont Remember Anything About You Except Your Grades.
6.When White Parents be like "be yourself son" and Your Parents like "be like your cousin she always get 110%"

8.When your parent warns you no dating until you're finished college but once you've finished college,they force you to get married a.s.a.p
"Thats my 30 year old virgin boy"9.You are not allowed to go out with strangers but its totally okay to marry a stranger and have sex with him
"Even our farm cow decides who she wants to sleep with."10.They let you stay with them no matter how old you are.Shout out to Indian Parents for not kicking us out of their home when we turn 18!
